His wife only complicates things further by quitting her job and creating more financial strain, He also realizes how hard it is to keep being faithful with so many options out there. King wishes that Kareem treated her better and understands her frustration, but he also notices little changes in her as well. Something isn't quite right and King sees this, especially when she takes an out of town trip without Kareem or their children. King says something but since Kareem is bent on doing his things so since he is not concerned neither is King.
King doesn't need any extra complications in his life. He already has a lazy baby mother who is greedy and doesn't want to do a thing with her life. He is single by choice but soon becomes enamored but a beautiful songstress, Sloan.
Sloan is beautiful, educated, talented and hard working. She is not currently looking to date but when King enters the jewelry store when she works and custom orders something, she can't help but be smitten by him. She was fresh off a break up from her married ex boyfriend and needed something refreshing and real in her life. It couldn't get any realer than King.

He is obsessed with Sloan and doesn't know how to let go, despite the fact that he hid is marriage from her, he feels Sloan should forgive him and take him back.
